There is something about Christmas that makes my heart feel warm and toasty. It is one of my favourite times of the year, where we can cherish time with our loved ones. As someone who rarely sees their family, it is a special time to spend time together. It’s that time of the year where you can sip as much hot chocolate, eat as much cake, turn on the Christmas songs and just relax with layers of coats (that is if you are in winter). Christmas also makes me think of my cats when they used to climb the Christmas tree. Does anyone else’s cat do that? I’m sure they’ve been playing with the wrapping and having as much fun as you.
It is a beautiful day in Taipei today, and I must say I am a little glad to take a break from the Summer heat. If you ever come to Taiwan, you will be sure to fall in love with the food! My taste buds have had a period of memory loss of how good it is. It is really good to be surrounded by people who speak Chinese again, because it reminds me how important it is to embrace your language. Even though another year has gone by, and a new one is nearly ready to start. Remember to look back on what an amazing year it has been. Whether you had a lot of ups and downs, it will always be a part of the journey.
